Congratulations to Brian Conaghan who won the Teen/Young Adult Book of the year award the 2018 An Post Irish Book Awards on Tuesday, 27th November.

Past pupil, street artist Maser, featured in The Irish Times

Street artist, Maser, was featured in The Irish Times on Saturday, 24th November. Maser, now also known by his given name, Al Hester is a past pupil of Stratford College.

Junior Cycle Classical Studies teachers get their first in-service training of revised curriculum

On Tuesday, 20th November Junior Cycle Classical Studies teachers had the first in-service training day on the newly revised curriculum. Stratford College was part of this process.

Congratulations to Two of our Past Pupils

Congratulations to Sam O'Brien (2017) who will be receiving an Entrance Exhibition Award from Trinity College Dublin on Tuesday for his outstanding Leaving Certificate Results. Sam is studying Physical Sciences in Trinity. 

And congratulations to Alice Murphy (2014). Alice recently qualified from Commerce (International), University College Dublin and was presented with a gold medal last week by the French Embassy for achieving the highest results in French. Alice is now working as an associate with PWC. 

Science Week 2018: from Art to Animals to Sensory Workshops

Science Week 2018 (12th - 16th November) was celebrated in a myriad of different ways throughout the week. The TYs organised a week of workshops and events in the hall and the 2nd Years went to the National Gallery of Ireland to see the "Art in Mind - How Nature Inspires" Exhibition. Smarter World Smarter Work: Future ready: improving graduate employability skills

How we work is changing. This paper highlights the needs for employers, educators and government to work together and identifies practical recommendations to make this happen. This work is part of Ibec’s Smarter World, Smarter Work campaign.

A very busy and engaging Open Day!

On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, 11th November, Stratford celebrated its teaching and learning by inviting the public to visit its classrooms and campus. As in past years, it was a very busy and engaging afternoon for visitors, students and teachers alike.
